Formalities

ID Proof: DL Number, PAN Card Number, Voter ID, Passport Number, Student ID etc.
The Traveler has to carry the same ID Proof as submitted in this form, while visiting Corbett National Park.
The Jeep will pickup & drop from/to the Resort/Hotel/Railway Station as specified by the Traveler. (Conditions Apply)
Safari Charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.

As the entire periphery of the Jim Corbett National Park; falls under restricted and protected area, so official permission is required to visit the core area of the tiger territory. There are two kinds of official permits issued by the government for entering into any safari zone of the park. Day visit permit (for jeep/canter safari) and Permits for night stay inside the Government forest lodges The day visit permits are required by Indian nationals as well as foreigners for entering into any tourism zone in Corbett National Park. Accommodation inside the park is possible after obtaining night stay permit that are issued by issuing authorities of Government officials. Visitors can make booking for 01 night and maximum for 03 nights only.

DAY 01:RAMNAGAR TO DHIKALA

Arrive at Corbett National park, Gypsy will pick you from Ramnagar City & drive to Dhangarhi Gate of Jim Corbett National Park. After completing mandatory paper work at Dhangarhi (Entrance gate of Dhikala Zone) you will enter into the Dhikala Zone of Corbett National Park. Check in & Lunch at KMVN canteen. Enjoy evening Safari at Dhikala Forest. Dinner & overnight stay at Dhikala New Forest Rest House.

DAY 02:DHIKALA TO RAMNAGAR

Morning wake up call & Jeep Safari at Dhikala, return back to forest lodge, breakfast & checkout. Return back to Dhangarhi gate. Drop at Ramnagar, tour End with sweet memories of Jim Corbett National park.

Early Morning wakeup call & after having tea full day Reserve for Jeep Safari in Dhikala, (Jeep Safari Timing will be according to Corbett Tiger Reserve Norms). You have great oppertunity to see wildlife especially the evasive Tigers, Elephants, Crocodile and Ghariyal. Breakfast and Lunch in between at forest canteen.
For your safely the lodge is covered by the effective solar barrier. You may sit on the veranda at night and enjoy the breathtaking wild and jungle's sound to get a memorable experienced. Overnight stay at Dhikala Forest Lodge. Dinner & O/N Stay at Dhikala Forest Lodge.

Day 03: DHIKALA TO RAMNAGAR

Dhikala Night Stay Information

The Dhikala area of Corbett National Park is probably the finest unspoilt and abundant in wildlife area existing in Northern India, very rich source of wildlife, fauna and flora and that has extreme natural beauty. The vast dense grasslands called "Chaurs" like the "Savanah" in Africa exist only here. The Dhikala Forest Lodge built in the year 1936 is situated on the edge of the Ramganga Reservoir overlooking the forested hills of Kumaon & Garhwal. An overnight stay here provides the real wildlife experience with the opportunity of doing Elephant rides, Jeep Safaris and spending mid mornings on observation towers overlooking the Ramganga river and water holes. It is 50 km away from the Ramnagar Railway Station.

The location of the Dhikala Forest Lodge offsets its basic accommodation- though these facilities have been immensely improved in 2006, as it is situated deep in the heart of the forest and wildlife can be observed can from the verandah of your room. The rooms at Dhikala have been renovated and are no longer basic by Indian Jungle standards. Dhikala forest Lodge is located in the core area of Corbett national park and it is enclosed by an effective solar fence for your safety against wild animals.

The rooms are clean, with floor tilings and attached English style flushing toilets. Showers do exist and the mixers work - bucket baths are recommended, in case of malfunction. Running hot and cold water is surely available but we suggest mineral water for brushing the teeth.The lodge has electricity with supply timings and there is a back up generator and invertors. Wildlife films are shown every alternate evening in a make shift theatre and the lodge boasts of a fine wildlife library.

We at "Tigerland Safaris & Tours" carry our own clean bed sheets, pillow cases, towels, table cloths, hot water bottles, mosquito repellent coils and other necessary items to provide comfort in the wilds. The restaurant serves only vegetarian Indian, Chinese & Continental food served in Buffet style - the crockery is stone ware. Liquor is not available and allowed but some guests do carry their medicinal stock.
A stay at Dhikala is an experience and recommended for the "adventurous & forgiving wildlife traveler".
